Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian

Atiesh passed from Guardian to Guardian for generations, ending with Medivh, the last of them. Legends say it grew from a “seed of hate” and grants its bearer endless power; ravens gather around it, and it can open a way to Karazhan. After Medivh fell, the Kirin Tor locked the staff away in Dalaran, where every mage who touched it met a grim end.

When Archimonde destroyed Dalaran, Atiesh broke into dozens of pieces that scattered across Azeroth, and Kel'Thuzad set out to gather them. In the original game, raiders pried its splinters from his necropolis of Naxxramas, had the frame restored with the help of the bronze dragon Anachronos, and then had to cleanse the staff in Stratholme by defeating the demon imprisoned within it.
